Originally two separate houses, Abbeyfield House has been converted in to one large house, fully renovated to provide companionship, support and community to older people in Rhos on Sea.
Our house is made up of four studios and five one-bedroom flats, all en-suite and all unfurnished for you to you bring your favourite items from home. All of our rooms are decorated to a high standard with nice aspects to the gardens front and back.
Completing our house is a modern dining room and conservatory, which will be refurbished again.
Whilst the house has been fully renovated, it's retained it's charm from 1904 when it was originally built.
For added peace of mind, our House Manager or Deputy are always on duty seven days a week so you can feel assured there is always someone on hand to support you.
Located close to shops, post office, hairdressers and numerous coffee shops. But what's most special about our location is just how close we are to the stunning North Wales coast - just a 10 minute drive! Each year, people arrive in their hundreds to holiday in Rhos on Sea - moving to Abbeyfield House means you could be on holiday every day.
Ros is definitely not just a cook but a fully trained chef as can be seen by the cosmopolitan menu she serves each week. Working for Abbeyfield since 2006, Ros takes great pride in managing a happy house.
Local girl Kath has worked in many catering establishments in the Llandudno and Colwyn Bay area, she has been with Abbeyfield for only 1 year. Kath has a kind heart and will go the extra mile helping residents out.

Having no immediate family, it was an easy decision for me to make my home at Abbeyfield where I enjoy the company of other like-minded people.
Resident at Abbeyfield House
We brought Mum to live in North Wales from Gloucester so she could be near family but still retain her independence as this was very important to her.
Daughter of resident at Abbeyfield House
I was finding it difficult to shop and cook and I ended up not eating very well. I now look forward to fabulous cooked meals, better than I could ever do myself. I haven’t enjoyed food so much in years.
